Conflict Coaching Training: Master the Skills for Handling Difficult Conversations

Are you ready to improve your communication and conflict management skills? Whether you’re
facing a specific conflict or just want to be better prepared for tough conversations, Conflict
Coaching is a powerful tool that can boost your confidence and help you build more positive
relationships.
In this 2-day training, you’ll learn how to guide people through difficult situations, helping them
change negative thinking and find productive, collaborative solutions.

• When to use conflict coaching to turn challenges into growth opportunities
• How to help people take responsibility for their role in a conflict (and understand the
other person’s role too)
• How to identify and overcome communication barriers that may be holding someone
back
• How to clarify personal and relational goals in the midst of conflict

• Practical tools for coaching others to collaborate more effectively
• How to manage and work with high-conflict personalities

What is the Cost?
OEA Member cost will be covered by OEA, with our typical conference
reimbursement for travel costs. Professionals who wish to participate can send a

check for $400 to Oregon Education Association, 6900 Atlanta St., Portland, OR
97223. Send to Attention: Melody Parsons, and on the memo line write Conflict
Training. Payment for a professional to participate must be received by November 5th
if you wish to participate. OEA Mediators do not need to pay for this training.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants both days,
including gluten free and vegan options.
Location will depend on scheduling and number of participants, but usually is either
OEA Headquarters at 6900 Atlanta St. or the Beaverton OEA Office at 17933 NE
Evergreen Pkwy, #220.
About the Trainers:
Tsipora Dimant has been a professional mediator since 1992. She brings decades of experience
in conflict resolution, having worked with city, state, and federal agencies. Tsipora also oversees
the OEA Mediation Program and has a wealth of practical, hands-on knowledge to share.
Lee Hamilton began her career of 28 years in the Parkrose School District; first as a Special
Educator and then, after completing her Masters in Counseling Psychology, she became an
Elementary School Counselor. In 2007, after retiring from Parkrose, she began her Mediation
training, She spent the next 2 years mediating in Small Claims, and then moved on to Divorce
Mediation for over a decade. Court and mediating work place issues. In 2019 Lee joined the
OEA Mediation Network. Lee currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of
Collaborative Professionals of Oregon.
