Collaborative Family Law 25 Years Later: Revisiting and Reimagining Best Practices
Thursday, March 19, 2026
12:00 – 1:30 PM (Zoom)
Collaborative Family Law has evolved significantly over the past twenty-five years. As practitioners, we have adapted our approaches in response to experience, changing client needs, technological shifts, and broader societal events. But how closely does our current practice align with the original vision of Collaborative law—and where should it go next?
This interactive community conversation invites Collaborative professionals to reflect on the past, examine how our practices have evolved, and thoughtfully consider what should be preserved, revisited, or reimagined. Through small-group and large-group discussion, participants will explore historical and current best practices, consider the forces that have shaped our work—from intentional innovation to external pressures such as COVID—and identify opportunities to move forward with renewed clarity, integrity, and purpose.
Participants will engage with colleagues across disciplines to revisit the foundations of Collaborative practice and help co-create a shared vision for the next chapter of this work.
