Anchored in Consciousness: Introduction to Insight for Conflict Professionals ~ Portland, OR (in person)

This one-day dynamic workshop delivers practical, skills-based content directly applicable to the daily work of conflict professionals. Using the Insight Conflict Resolution Model developed by the Insight Collaboration Institute, the workshop is anchored in how our consciousness works (not on interests, narratives or transformative aspirations).

In-person in Portland, Oregon

Thursday, June 4, 2026
9:00 am – 4:30 pm
The Grotto Conference Center, Portland Oregon

This conflict resolution program explores how our innate patterned flow of consciousness influences conflict communication, decision-making, and negotiated outcomes. Participants will examine the practitioner’s role, Insight-informed techniques, and a theory of change that enhances effectiveness in challenging conversations and complex disputes.

The Insight model helps parties understand the deeper reasons behind their conflict, which fosters meaningful communication, reduces emotional tension, and leads to more sustainable resolutions. By focusing on both the practitioner’s and the parties’ inner experiencing and decision-making process, parties are freed from defending and regain their ability to engage in critical thinking, creativity and cooperative dialogue.

Designed as a model that recognizes the complexities of working with emotions in conflict — and supports collaboration and growth in relationships — you’ll quickly incorporate it into your practice.
